Linguistic facts
Just as Latin originated with Rome, Pig Latin originated with Pig Rome, or, as it is more formally known, Ome-ray. The Roman Empire achieved more fame than the Pig Roman Empire, and Latin may figure more in impact on modern languages, but porcine classicists would point out that within certain age groups, Pig Latin yet today maintains a strong presence; in fact, Pig Latin speakers outnumber Latin speakers amongst 11 year-olds by some several hundred thousand to one. Latin is also, of course, the language of law and the church. While there are Catholic masses still said in Latin (and, recently, increasingly so), there are very few examples of priests who celebrate the mass in Pig Latin.

Meta-perusal?
I like to read novels for hours on end, and I notice that of all the varied activities I read about, I hardly ever encounter any scenes in which one of the characters sits around reading novels for hours on end.

Dance, dance, dance!
Today we launched a new web site for my friend Rebecca Landry, who has Gerami Academy. It was particularly fun to construct, as there were tons of videos and great photos of the dancing.
